然而我的理解力，就在一遍又一遍的猜測，反覆閱讀

中越練越精準。這對我後來學英文，有很大的幫助。



在學英文的過程當中，我從沒看過中文翻譯，除了查

字典以外。可是我在查字典之前，早已約略推測出句子的

大意，這樣查字典才不會查錯。如果整句完全不懂，恐怕

很難靠字典一個個字查出意思。



　　這樣的學法，讓我比較不會發生「中式英文」的情況，

雖然我真是太晚學英文了。終生之恨啊

在我與讀者的交流之間，常發生這個問題，如果我說

得很直白，有時會得罪讀者；如果客氣一點講，又會陷入

lexical ambiguity. 因為每個人都是從他的想法去理解，

往往我不得不用警告的口氣說：「如果你過去的想法讓你

學不好英文，也許你應該換個想法。」


 許多詞彙，有許多不同的解釋，各種排列組合都有可能

。唯有先抓大義，好像在林子裡先弄清東西南北的方向，再

依方向找路，大致上不會出錯。但如果你先找路，再想從

路中尋方向，誰知道這路會延伸到哪兒去。所以我教讀者

不要先看內文，一定要先聽個七遍到十遍，抓出大意，再去

追究細節。
