21-The Wizard Of Oz sentence

2015-06-23

this is the story about the adventures of a little girl named Dorothy.

She lived in the midst of the great, great Kansas prairie with her Aunt Em and
Uncle Henry, who was a farmer.

Their house was one room with a small hole in the ground beneath the floor, which
was a cyclone  cellar, where the family could be safe in case one of those
great whirlwinds arose.

there was a low wail of wind.
you and Dorothy get in the cellar there.
there was a great shriek from the wind and the house shook so hard that Dorothy
fell down on floor.
she is coming up here.
we can find out where we are.
see her two silver shoes?there. she's gone.
i thought there were no more witches.
Oz himself is the Great Wizard.
He is more powerful than all the rest of us together.
can you help me find my way ?
a great desert surrounds the whole land of Oz
As Dorothy sobbed, the little old woman took off her pointed cap and
bounced the point on the end of her nose.
at once the cap changed to a blackboard on which was written in big, white chalk.
Follow the yellow brick road.
it is long journey and sometimes very dangerous. but if you get to the City of Emeralds,
the Great Oz may be able to help you.
won't you please go with me?
I will mark your brow with my kiss.
no one would ever dare to injure a person who has been kissed by the Witch of the North.
she is the most powerful of us all, except Oz. but she is lives a long way off.
I advise you possess a powerful charm, perhaps they can do you good.
Dorothy put on the silver slippers which fit perfectly
then she and toto set out on a long journey to the City
of Emeralds and the Great Wizard of Oz along the yellow
brick road.
she saw a Scarecrow high on a pole in a cornfield.
That Scarecrow winked at me!
This pole is stuck up my back.
If you will please take me off the pole I shall be greatly
obliged to you.
if I go to the Emerald City with you, that the Great Oz would gice me some brains ?
I don't want people to call me a fool ,
with no brains, how am i ever to know anything ?
they picked their way along until, in a clearing,
they saw a little cottage.but there seemed to be no one around.
what on earth is that?
it sounds like somebody's in terrible trouble.
I've been groaning for more than a year but nobody's ever heard me,
because my jaws are rusted shut.
there's an oil can by my cottage.
I might have stood there for always if you had not come along.
The tinsmith forgot to put a heart in my breast, and I truly miss it.
if you'll allow me to join your party, I'll also go to the Emerald Ciry,
and I'll ask Oz for a heart.
Don't you dare bite Toto!
you are nothing but a big coward!
I'll put you on your feet again.
how can that be?
it's my great sorrow.
my life is simply unbearable without a bit of courage.
Dorothy and her friends found themselves in a wonderful place.
the eyes were fixed on her.
I am Dorothy , the small and meek.
I will send you back to Kansas, but not before.
Now, what do these others want?
Now go, and do not ask to see me again until the Witch is dead.
Now the Wicked Witch of the West had only one eye,but that was as powerful as a telescope,
and could see everywhere.
so as she sat in the door of her castle, she spied Dorothy and her friends coming into her land.
The sky got dark, there was a low rumbling in the air and the rushing of many wings.
I want him for my slave.
Get away from me, you beasts.
Other Monkeys caught the Scarecrow and ripped him open.
The Lion the tied with ropes and took him to the Witch's castle.
All we can do is carry her to the castle and leave her there.
which they did. they flew into the air and were soon out of sight.
The Wicked Witch was worried when she saw the mark on Dorothy's
forehead, for she knew well that neither the Winged Monkeys,
nor she, herself, dare hurt the girl in any way.
keep that nasty little dog away from me.
so she used her magic art to make Dorothy trip and fall,
and one of the slippers came off.
she scared me half to death.
they pounded out the dents in the Tin Woodman, and
stuffed the Scarecrow with new straw.
And standing in the spot the screen had hidden was a little
old man, with a bald head and a wrinkled face.
I'm just an ordinary man.
I've given you a big helping of bran-new brains.
Then Oz called in the Tin Woodman and gave him a new heart
of red silk and sawdust.
it'll take more than imagination to get Dorothy back to Kansas.
Toto, I had a feeling that we’re not in Kansas any more
Ding Dong!  The witch’s dead.”
